Robert Eugene (Bob) Williams and I were roommates at Miami University, Oxford, Ohio in the 1940s. I never met a finer man. We often visited in each others homes. His home was in Hollansburg, Ohio and his father worked for the Postal Service. His parents were wonderful people. I am writing this on September 28, 2016, which would have been his 91st birthday. We often spoke by telephone and I called today to wish him happy birthday only to find that he will not be having any more birthdays. Bob and I were close friends for over 70 years. It was a joy and privilege to know him. I knew Mary and Eleanor, too, and they were wonderful. Well, anyway, "Happy Birthday," Bob. From your old roomie, Bob Peirce of Tallahassee, Florida.

I was a long time caregiver of Mr. Williams. He more like my best friend, than a client. He will be greatly missed by many. I will miss him telling me, when my phone would ring, he would always say, "Your bird is singing". I will truly miss him. R.I.P, Mr. Williams. Your friend, Lanita Brown

Oh my what a gentleman Mr. Williams was! As his health declined he had reasons to be grumpy but he never was. His politeness is rare these days. I am so glad he is no longer struggling. Donna and Rich I won't be able to attend the calling hours as Donna so graciously did for Mom. Please know however that you will be in my heart and prayers. Thank you for sharing Mr.Williams with us.
