Ronald Reeb Obituary
1937 - 2017
Ronald H Reeb, 80 was born January 7, 1937 to the late Bernard and Catherine "Sis" Reeb. He passed away suddenly July 8, 2017 after heart surgery on July 7 at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne Florida. He will be remembered for his love for life and straight up ways. Ron is survived by his loving wife Janis, daughters Karen Reeb (Mark) Hedstrom, Kathy Reeb Payne, son RC (Barbara) Reeb, daughter-in-law Trudy Miller Reeb, step children Julie and Mike McGrady, thirteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, sisters Bernadine (Ronald) Reisinger and Carol Gray, Roseann (Geoff) Layman, Merico Merendo, many nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by son Ralph Reeb and grandsons Ricky Payne and Ryan Reeb. Ron was a proud graduate of Aquinas High School (1954) in Columbus Ohio, member of Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 189, owner of RH Reeb Company and founding member of the St Francis DeSales High School Athletic Association. In 1987 he retired from Dunbar Mechanical Co. and moved to Cocoa Beach, Florida. Ron was an avid Notre Dame and Ohio State sports fan. While living life to the fullest he cherished time with family, friends and listening to books out in the sun. Per his request, his body has been donated to MedCure for scientific research. Please join us in a Celebration of Ron's Life at the Abruzzi Club, 273 Hanawalt Rd.Westerville, Ohio 43081 on July 29 1-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Ron's memory to St. Francis DeSales High School Athletic Department, 4212 Karl Rd. Columbus, Ohio 43224 or to the Ron Reeb Fund at 2903 W New Haven Ave. Box 459 W Melbourne, Florida 32904.

To the Reeb family on behalf of the Saint Francis DeSales High School family please accept my deepest sympathy on your loss.
To all who knew Ron Reeb you quickly learned that his priorities were clear: Faith and Family were the most important values.
To those who were blessed to consider Mr. Reeb a friend you knew his commitment and loyalty were second to none. He lived a life committed to taking care of others. It was in that capacity that he enriched the Saint Francis DeSales High School community. As one of the founding members and leaders of the SFD Athletic Association he demonstrated his care and commitment to young people.
May the family of Ron and his many, many friends find peace that he has found his eternal rest in paradise. May perpetual light shine upon him.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Jan and her family and with Ron's family. Ron and I go way back and I mean way back. We have been friends for over 75 years. We grew up about six houses apart on south 5th street in Columbus. Fortunately we were able to get together a couple of weeks prior to his death.
He was a good friend and a good guy.
