Aloha from Hawaii-Rosa was my mainland mom when serving VISTA in 1966. God provided her with such strength, courage and His love to share .

With such courage and humility, she is a model of that generation who led lives of such compassion despite so much injustice.

She lived without prejudice ,yet spoke with God's wisdom and courage.

If her two daughters read this..please contact me. Would love to knowhow you are doing. I am 73 and still in Hawaii. Would love to connect.

I am forever grateful for that significant year ,especially living with your awesome mother on Spring St.

God bless us all and give us the love and wisdom he blessed Mother Rosa with...

Always with His Aloha..>Fay Uyeda

To the Callahan Family, whom I feel is a part of my family, I extend my love and my sympathy to you, in the Homegoing of your dear Aunt. Mrs Hightower was such a sweet spirited lady, whom I know will be truly missed by many. May God's Blessings comfort you all, continuously.

Once again the Lord has called one of his Guardian Angels to rest amongst the pearly gates to watch over all of us just as she was doing for so many years right here. The Neighborhood House and Central Community House has Mrs. Hightower to thank for her generosity and wisdom that shall linger with those who knew her including me. RIH

Rosa was like a mother to me, she hosted me several years, and allowed me to stay with her till I got married. She is in heart and prayer all the time. May God have mercy on her soul. Ameen.
