Tina B. Doane

Doane Tina B. Doane, age 93 of Sunbury passed away at home Saturday evening, August 30, 2014, surrounded by those whom she loved. She was born in Webbville, Kentucky to the late Clyde and Grace H. (Hill) Webb. In 1946, she married the love of her life Raymond Doane and together they shared 55 wonderful years devoted to each other's needs, raising a family and making a home. Raymond passed away in 2002. She worked as a cook for the Big Walnut School System retiring after 14 years. A faithful member of Genoa Baptist Church, she also enjoyed the company of the Top of the Hill group. She was at her best outside tending to her garden and flower beds. A wonderful cook her Sunday family meals were simply the best and her fried chicken, turkey dressing, frozen sweet corn, and macaroni salad were not to be missed. She was very giving, always happy, and enjoyed a pleasant nature. She looked forward to trips with her many friends and loved to laugh with her family. Walks in the park with her husband and country drives after dinner were treasured, just as her beloved family. Those left to cherish her memory include daughters, Phyllis (Darrel) Adkins of Galena, Sharon (Michael) Kramer of Powell, Joyce (Phil) Link of Sunbury; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents she was also preceded in death by daughter Charlene Sullivan in 2001, granddaughter Amanda "Mandy" Adkins in 2000, brothers George Herbert David Webb, sisters Jewel Webb Peg Owens and Mary Doane. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the DEVORE-SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, SR's 3 at 61, Sunbury, where services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday with Pastor Frank Carl officiating .
