Jordan Kershaw Obituary

Jordan W. Kershaw, born March 29, 1993 left this world far too early on December 14, 2014.

He was predeceased by his maternal great-grandfather Michael Dedik, maternal grandmother Patti Petrovich, step grandfather Ron Petrovich and uncle Joseph M. McLaughlin, Jr.

He is survived by his parents, Mark and Leah Kershaw, his paternal grandparents William and Joyce Kershaw, maternal grandfather Lawrence Grimm, aunts Toni Dedik, Carole Polandick (Chris), Kim Glanden (Herb), Lynn Pearson, Heather Rozak (Paul), uncles Gary Grimm (Tammy), Gene Grimm, Jon Grimm, cousins Julie Rotuno (Matt), Jessie Glanden, Cole Pearson, David Pearson, Danny Pearson, Matt Rozak, Rachel Rozak, Rosemary Grimm and Micheal Grimm and a host of wonderful friends.

He was a graduate of Polytech High School.

Jordan embodied the motto "YOLO" – you only live once. He was never afraid to try anything and was always ready for new adventures. He had a great love of nature and enjoyed camping, mountain climbing, skiing, fishing and going to the beach. He loved sunsets and photographed them at every opportunity. A dream of his was to learn to fly airplanes.

His funeral was held on Saturday, December, 20 at Wesley United Methodist Church in Dover. A visitation of family and friends was at 2 p.m. followed by a service at 3 p.m. and a reception immediately following.

Jordan's love of animals was great, and he cherished his time with his lab, Big Rig. In lieu of flowers, donations to either First State Animal Center and SPCA or Faithful Friends would be appreciated.

Letters of condolences may be sent to www.traderfh.com.

Many condolences to you all. My husband and I had the pleasure of getting to know Jordan this summer. My brother Ryan was his roommate and what stood out most to us both was his shining personality. We laughed harder that weekend then we have in awhile. May God help heal your hearts and May Jordan's shining personality live in us all, always.

I wish to express my condolences to the family. Words seem insufficient at this difficult time. We all need comfort when a loved one dies. May you find real comfort and relief from our heavenly Father, family and friends; and as a result, begin to recover gradually from the pain. Love from those around you will help you through the days ahead. The precious memories of your loved one will bring you comfort.
