Hilario Hernandez Obituary

Hilario R. Hernandez, November 29, 1928 – April 25, 2009. Our hearts grieve for the loss of a wonderful man that was loving, kind and devoted in all his ways. Popper I'll always remember the time you invited me to have dinner at the country culb. When we ended up at the truck stop, I thought Larry had made a wrong turn. Then we began to exit the car I couldn't help but laugh. I'll miss you sense of humor.

Dearest Mrs. Hernandez and Family,

It was truly an honor to have Mr. Hernandez play such a huge part in our life from my childhood to our wedding. Words can not express our sorrow. Our memories of him are held deep within our hearts and we will always remember his words; go ahead and eat your ice cream before it melts. Yes, true to his words, our time here on Earth is precious; enjoy being here while seeking God’s Word and fulfilling his special purpose.

We love you so very much,

My Dearest Cousins and Cata:

I am so sorry to hear (read) of the passing of “Primo Pato.” Being the youngest of about eighty (80) cousins, life has had some very sad moments, for me and all the past several years and month(s). I will miss my monthly telephone calls with “…interesting chats,” only to for Pato to never end a telephone call without telling me “…how much he loved me.” Life will never be the same for all of us.

I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Mr. Hernandez. One of the greatest joys I have as a father is to pick up my daughter and hold her. I am comforted by the fact that when our Lord and Savior welcomed Mr. Hernandez home, he was able to pick up and hug his healthy baby girl along with countless other friends and family members. The Bible says that you are known by your fruit and I had the pleasure of knowing Jerry, Larry and Corina personally. They are 3 of the best people that I have ever known. Well done Mr. Hernandez! Your legacy will live through the many lives that you personally touched throughout your career as an educator but most importantly throughout your life. I am better because I knew you.

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."
