Ricky Enmon Locklear
Fayetteville—Ricky Enmon Locklear Sr. passed away June 1, 2021, at the age of 64, in Fayetteville, NC.
Ricky Enmon Locklear Sr was born October 16, 1956, in Fayetteville NC. After graduating from Cape Fear High School, he worked and retired from Harris teeter after 20 years, as well as Purolator after 25 years. From the earliest age, Ricky Sr. was a family man, being especially close to his grandmothers Prissy and Vennie. Ricky married his wife Diane in December of 1993 and has enjoyed the last 27 plus years together, enjoying their children, grandchildren, and family meals. The love they had for each other will last throughout eternity.
Ricky was an excellent baseball player and had a love for fishing and hot rods. Since a child, Ricky would stay by his mother Reola's side learning every recipe he could. Being an exceptional cook, everybody had a favorite dish from him from collards, to crab legs, pig feet, and thanksgiving dinner.
Since retiring most of his time was spent at home enjoying his family. He enjoyed rock and roll music, sharing this special connection with his son, Ricky Jr, and grandsons, Devan, and Julius. Ricky also loved to watch drag racing, westerns, and baseball. Ricky had a love for collecting coins and model cars, he had a collection like no other. His last few years have been spent caring for grandsons, Kaleb, and Tristan. Showing them the love that only a papa could give as he showed to all his grandchildren. His greatest joy was being a husband, father, and especially a "papa".
Special thank you to Doris Strickland Dudley for all your love and support during this time from Diane Locklear
