Chadwick Desilets Obituary
Chad was born December 15, 1971 in Sanford, Maine and graduated from Marshwood High School and the University of Maine. Chad was employed at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.
Chad loved football and music. He knew and loved the game of football and was a huge Patriots fan. He rejoiced at the Patriots victory at this year's Super Bowl. Chad loved music and was usually wearing earphones and listening to his favorite tunes. Chad's favorite times were those spent at the Lu, listening to Martin England and the Reconstructed band. He was definitely a groupie. In recent years, Chad volunteered for Continuum Arts Collective (a non profit that assists underserved, school-aged artists and musicians in Maine; providing them with instruments, supplies and lessons) and was passionate about his work.
Chad was a gentle soul with a huge heart. He was loved by many for his big smile and desire to help anyone in need. Chad struggled throughout his life with serious medical issues but never complained and never wanted to be a burden. He will be missed beyond words by his parents, Vicki and Gerry Desilets and fur-sister, Chrissy. He is survived by his much loved Great Aunt Dot; Aunt Rachel Desilets and partner Paulette Petelle; Aunt Jude Rilling; cousins Jennifer Lambert and Hector Pettersen, Aimee Lambert and Jeremy Lew; second cousins Anna, Esmeralda, Bea and Benicio to whom he was known as Uncle Chad. He is also survived by his "adopted" family, Jen and Marty England and all of the Lu Nation.
SERVICES: A celebration of Chad's life will be held Saturday, February 23, at 1 p.m., at the South Berwick Senior Center, 71 Norton St., South Berwick. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Continuum Arts Collective, 76 Lower Main St., North Berwick 03906. Arrangements are entrusted to the Johnson Funeral Home, North Berwick. No words can express our heavy hearts at the loss of Chad. He was not only a co-worker, my boss and a fellow Pats FAN-ATIC he was our good friend. You will be forever missed by both of us. Mr.& Mrs. D, Stay strong through the coming days ahead. Rest assured that if you need anything form any of us who really knew Chad, consider it done. Chad, you passed on Valentine's Day, A day of hearts & Yours was one of the biggest!!! We'll miss you always. Remembering all of the Good Times we had. Love ya Buddy.

Please accept my condolences, Vicki and Gerry. I had he privilege of getting to know and work with Chad over the past few years. He was always willing to do what had to be done and obviously cared to do it well. We chatted, not only about work, but about his family and pasttimes. He was definitely a good man, and a joy to work with.

I have no doubt that many folks, new to The Lu, found Chad's welcoming smile and friendly greeting as their first clue that the Lu was a place of charity, friendship and acceptance. We are all feeling this loss so much. We loved Chad and he loved us and in the end that is all that matters. He will always hold a place of honor at the among Lu Nation.
