Robert Earl "Bob" Munroe Jr.

Gaffney, S.C. - Robert (Bob) Earl Munroe, Jr., 75, of 117 Sandy Lane, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 16, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his family and friends.

Born in Providence, RI, he was the husband of Rose Terilli Munroe. Mr. Munroe was the son of the late Robert Earl Munroe and Dorothy Musk Munroe. He was a former employee of George S May International, and was a car salesman. He attended Beaverdam Baptist Church, and graduated from the University of Rhode Island. Mr. Munroe was a true United States Marine who loved his country, served in the Vietnam War, was a recipient of the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, and many other medals.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a stepson, Robert P. Olobri and wife, Kim, of Blacksburg; two sisters, Carol Iannelli and Edith Richardson and husband, Lenny, both of Cranston, RI; three grandchildren, Bobby, Lena and Bella; special dogs, Snoopy and Cookie; and beloved horses, Fritz and Prince. A special thanks to Hospice Care of South Carolina, especially a volunteer, Tera Barnwell.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
