ALPHA SMITH Obituary
Mr. Alpha Omega Smith Sr. 85 of Gainesville passed on Thursday, November 10, 2016. He was the son of the late Levi and Arizona Smith.
Mr. Smith is survived by wife Shirley Smith, Gainesville; daughter Cynthia Brown (Rev. Willie), sons: Alpha O. Smith Jr. (Libby) and Anthony D. Smith, all of Jacksonville; Samuel J. Smith (Brandy), Ralph L. Smith, Terry Garrison (Candee) and Keith Garrison all of Gainesville; brother, Charlie Smith, Gainesville; fourteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren, mother-in-law, Frances Greenhowe, Philadelphia, PA; sister-in-law Glovine Smith and big sister Lois Williams.
Viewing for Mr. Smith will be held at Mt.Olive A.M.E. Church, 721 SE 8th Ave., Gainesville, FL 32601 Friday, November 18, 2016 from 5-7.Funeral services will follow on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Olive A.M.E. Church, 721 SE 8th Ave Gainesville, FL 32601, Rev. Jacqueline Dupree, Pastor. Burial will follow in the St. Matthews Cemetery, Alachua, FL .
