Christine Ricci Obituary

Christine Ricci
Our beloved Christine Ricci was called home by the Lord on March 19, 2020 in one of her favorite places, Las Vegas.
Christine was born in the wonderful town of Cleveland, Ohio. She was the first born of William Ricci, her late father, and Julie and Gary Buckle, her mother and stepfather. She has one sister, Jackie, and one brother, Ted, and five nieces and nephews. Christine was a very smart child growing up. She could say her alphabet forward and backward at the age of 3 and started playing the piano very early in her life. She skipped the third grade completely. In her earlier adult life, her mom remembers the farmer behind their house growing corn while Chrissy was out watering her own crops from an early age.
Christine's first job in Gainesville was at the Florida Institutional Legal Services. She worked as a legal secretary for two lawyers, then worked for six years as a legal secretary for Gloria Fletcher. Christine later found her dream job at Naylor, LLC. She worked there for 23 years as a leading sales representative, achieving Renewal Salesperson of the Year several times during her career and achieving the $1M in Sales award during 2018. She loved working for associations such as the National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association, AGC of America and National Ready Mix Concrete Association.
Christine was very proud of her Notary & Ordained licenses; she performed many wedding ceremonies and was always willing to help notarize documents. She had a love for poker, blackjack, parrots, bingo, tubing down the Ichetucknee River, animals and children. She always found the good in every person and made them feel like a million bucks. She never found her "forever" partner to marry, but was loved by many and was everyone's best friend. While she did not have children of her own, she played a close surrogate role to her family and friend's children. She generously donated and was very involved with the Mill Creek Horse Retirement Farm, Ronald McDonald House and the Alachua County Humane Society.
She left us in a place she loved (Vegas), but will reunite with us in a place that loves her.

Christine,
My husband, Greg, and I are so sad to hear about your passing. We didn’t know each other well but you adopted our cat GusGus. We were so grateful for how well you took care of him and how loving you were towards him. It was the best Christmas gift we could give someone. We hope you enjoyed his company and I’m sure he misses you.

Sincerely,
Sruti and Greg Miller

We would like to somehow get in touch with someone to potentially find out where our cat Gus ended up. If someone knows, please contact us at 904-607-6537. Thank you.

Christine
We love you so much. Our family is deeply saddened about all of this. The only rationale we can give ourselves is that god needed you more I can’t help but think what an impact you’ve made to do many people. We are all better because of you! Love you sis! Until we meet again my BFF
