LAMB, CRAIG N.

Mr. Craig N. Lamb, 65, of Branford, Florida, died early Sunday morning, April 11, 2010 at his residence following a valiant battle with cancer. A native of Columbia County, Florida, Mr. Lamb was born on October 27, 1944 and had lived the majority of his life in Branford. He was a member of the 1964 Graduating Class of Branford High School. He worked for forty-two years as an installer/repairman with the Alltel Phone Company prior to retiring in 2005. Mr. Lamb loved horses and working cattle. He was an avid hunter. His favorite past time was the time spent watching his grandsons playing ball and taking them hunting & fishing. Mr. Lamb was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Lamb is survived by his wife of forty-six years, Judy Brannan Lamb; his sons, Clyde Lamb (Melissa) of Branford, Florida; Michael Lamb (Tracy) of Branford, Florida and Brian Lamb (Joy) of Mayo, Florida; his mother, Tommie Box of Hawthorne, Florida; mother-in-law, Wannie Brannan of Live Oak, Florida; his step-brothers, Rev. Herbert Box, Douglas, Georgia; John Box, Jr., Sebring, Florida; Edward Box, Gainesville, Florida; Howard Box, Colorado Springs, Colorado; his half-sister, Janet Carver of Hawthorne, Florida; his sisters-in-law, Jeanette Scarborough (Jerry) of Live Oak, Florida and Clydie Wheeler of Lake City, Florida; and his five grandsons, Dalton, Blake, Brayden, Brannan and Craig. Special extended family members include, Dale, Tonya & Tyler Byrd and Travis, Darra & Trevor Byrd and numerous nieces, nephews and special friends.

Services for Mr. Lamb will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, April 17, 2010 in the First Baptist Church of Branford with Rev. Herbert Box officiating. Private family interment services will follow. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to a church of your choice or to the Haven Hospice, 6037 U.S. Highway 90 West, Lake City, FL 32024.
