Daniel "Danny" Croft Jr.

Daniel Martin Croft, Jr., "Danny", 81, passed Thursday, July 8 at North Florida Regional Medical Center. Born on February 29, 1940 in McAlpin, Florida, he was an avid hunter for years, enjoyed fishing, the Florida Gators, and especially golf. Danny was also quite the gardener and always had a bountiful vegetable garden and beautiful flowers. He was a land surveyor for 63 years, owner of Croft Land Surveying, and surveyed most of Levy County and the surrounding area as well as the state of Florida and beyond. His longtime expertise and extensive knowledge made him one of the areas most relied on person to answer questions about property, settle disputes, testify in court, and present at County Commission meetings.

He is survived by his Children, Chet Croft, Danell Croft Cannon (Stephen Godwin), James "Jamie" Croft, and Charon Croft; 8 Grandchildren (Taylor, Kailey, Nolan, Carter, Erin, Casey, Bryan and Taylor) and 2 Great-Grandchildren; Sisters Geneva Herring and Rosalee Burns; Sisters in law Barbara Sapp Reed (Kevin) and Patty Sapp Martin (Todd); Brothers in law Jimmy Sapp and Tommy Sapp (Tracey); many nieces, nephews, and cousins, and an extended number of family friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Catherine "Cathy" Sapp Croft, sisters Ernestine Green and Myrle Dasher, and brothers Laverne Croft, JN Croft, Dean Croft, Ferrell Croft, and Derrell Croft, as well as his parents Abbie and Daniel Martin Croft, Sr.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at the Knauff Funeral Home Chapel in Williston beginning at 4:00 PM. A visitation will be held an hour prior. Knauff Funeral Home of Williston is honored to serve the Croft family during their time of transition.
