ELMA HELZEL Obituary
Elma Jane Collier Helzel, age 90 of Gainesville, FL passed away on Tuesday December 28, 2010 in Gainesville. She was born in Chiefland, FL on December 20, 1920 and was a lifetime member of the Chiefland Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. Elma worked as a Branch Manager for Sunstate Credit Union, formerly USDA Credit Union, and retired after 20 years service.
She is survived by nephews George D. Mason and James Q. Mason and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday January 3, 2011 at the Milam Funeral Home Chapel, with a visitation period for one hour prior. Committal Services will follow at 1:30 PM at the Chiefland Cemetery in Chiefland, FL.

Miss Elma was a wonderful neighbor, one of the original residents of our small, 2 street "community." She shared wonderful stories from years past, and she remained active... a strong, visible force until her most recent illness. We will miss seeing her every day and knowing she was a constant in times that change so quickly. She loved and appreciated her 2 nephews very much, and we hope that love will comfort them in the days to come.
