Randell Neeper Obituary

Randell L. ""Randy"" Neeper 63 of Curwensville passed away Wednesday November 29, 2023 at Ridgeview Elder Care after a short illness.

Born March 19, 1960 in Clearfield he was the son of Howard E. and Mary E. (Rader) Neeper. He was a 1978 graduate of Clearfield Area High School. Randy was a dedicated fireman all his life. He was very proud to serve his community in the way. He joined Clearfield 2nd Ward Hose Company as a teenager, then continued with Hyde Fire Company Station 6. He was a past Fire Chief with both Hyde, and Clearfield fire companies. He was a past president of Hyde Fire Company and held numerous offices. He was also a past member of the Clearfield County Fair Board where he was a past assistant manager. He was a former EMT with Clearfield and Curwensville, and a former flagman with Hidden Valley Speedway.

He worked hard all of his life starting as a young man he worked at Mick Henrys farm, he worked at Target Sportswear night shift in the fusing department, then moved to the warehouse in inspecting, and packing. Then he became a truck driver and from there went on to own and operate his own trucking service. He also drove school bus for Manson Transport and Fink Bus service.

Randy was well liked and respected. He will be missed by all who came in contact with him.

Surviving is his twin brother Ronald L. Neeper (Polly) Clearfield, Robert L. Neeper (Cindy) Hyde, and a sister Theresa M. Treantafellou Clearfield. Sister-in-law Marcie Neeper, and ex brother-in-law and close friend Peter Treantafellou. Numerous nieces and nephews, his favorite cousins Heather and Jeff Hoover of Hyde who stood by him in the later years of his life. Aunt Violet Arlene Neeper and companion Blaine Billotte, Uncle Truman ""Mike"" Neeper, and his dogs Zip and Petey.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Jesse ""Jess"" Neeper, and a close cousin Tammy Lynn (Neeper) Sipe.

Funeral services for Mr. Neeper will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc of Curwensville on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at 3 PM with Mr. Gary Jewart officiating. Interment will be in Centre Cemetery.

Family and Friends will be received at the Funeral Home from 1 PM until the time of services at 3 PM on Wednesday, December 6, 2023.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Dear Neeper Family, especially Ron,
This is shocking, horrible news. We can only imagine the depth of your grief to lose Randy.
We are sorry we can´t be with you (we´re in SC) but we are with you in spirit.
Randy was a good man. He loved the fire service deeply and contributed so much to our community. He will be missed.
Ron and Polly, rely on your friends and know there are so many of us who are praying for you.
