Harriet D. Sikut

Harriet D. Sikut, 82, lifelong resident of Windsor, died peacefully on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Windsor Health & Rehabilitation Center. Harriet was born in Hartford, CT, daughter to the late John and Stella (Olszewski) Sikut. Harriet was a graduate of the American School for the Deaf. She loved to paint, play Scrabble and card games, flower gardens, being outdoors in the sun and was deeply devoted to her family and friends. A kind, caring and loving woman she will be dearly missed. She leaves her nephews, Richard Cressotti and his wife Lynn of Agawam, MA, Leo Graywacz Jr. and his wife Deb of Windsor Locks, CT, Thomas Graywacz of Windsor, Robert Ralston III and his wife Doreen of Brookfield, CT, Christopher Sikut of Carriere, MS, Jeffrey Sikut and his wife Susan of Carriere, MS, and David Sikut of Cedar Grove, TN; her nieces, Terri Rachlin and her husband Stuart of Tarpon Springs, FL, Lisa Cressotti of Enfield, CT, Kathryn Tryon, and her husband Matthew of Windsor Locks, CT, Karen Negrucci and her husband Scott of Agawam, MA and Cheryl Langan of Enfield; her brother-in-law, Leo Graywacz Sr. of Windsor, CT; her Aunt Olga Jendrzejewski of West Hartford, CT; her Uncle Victor Olszewski and his wife Marian of Kentucky, and many cousins too numerous to list. She was predeceased by her siblings, Joanna Graywacz, Lorraine Cressotti, John Sikut, and Elizabeth Ralston; brother-in-law Robert H. Ralston Jr.; sister-in-law Diane Sikut; and many Aunts, Uncles, and cousins too numerous to list. Special thanks to all the staff at Windsor Health & Rehabilitation Center for taking such great care of her during her residency for the last 20+ years, a place she called home. Her family will receive friends on Sunday, December 27, 2020, from 1-3 p.m., at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 28, 2020, at 1 p.m., meeting directly at St. Gertrude Church, 550 Matianuck Ave., Windsor. Burial will follow at Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield.
