John Robert Moler

1961 - 2016

John Robert Moler, 54, of East Granby and formerly of West Suffield and Holyoke, MA, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2016, at his home. Born in Amarillo, TX on October 15, 1961, son of the late John Martin and Ann Marie (DeWolfe) Moler, he was raised in Chelmsford, MA and was a 1979 graduate of Chelmsford High School. After living in Holyoke, MA and West Suffield for many years, John recently moved to East Granby. John worked as a mechanic and as a driver for most of his career. In his spare time, John enjoyed watching movies, camping with his family, and spending time with his children. John also loved music, was a big fan of Deep Purple, and was friends with several members of the band. He leaves a son, John Moler of Houlton, ME; two daughters, Jennifer Moler of Kenly, NC and Amanda Iraheta and her husband Doni of Bellflower, CA; a grandson, Michael Moler; two granddaughters, Maddi Hernandez and Tori Iraheta; two sisters, Gail Cardoso and her husband Mario of Acworth, GA and Lisa Ivey and her husband Brian of Nashua, NH; his girlfriend, Susan Gossenlin of East Granby; his former wife, Penny Arena of Windsor Locks; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Donald Moler; and a sister, Cindy Dillon. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
