Daniel Strandell

February 18, 1956 - December 25, 2023

Tallahassee, Florida - Daniel Strandell, 67, of Tallahassee, FL, passed away on December 25, 2023. Born on February 18, 1956, in Hialeah, FL. Daniel was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

Daniel is survived by his wife of 42 years, Carlene Strandell, and their children: Dawn Astley, John Gonzalez, Shamus Strandell and Meghan Strandell. He also leaves behind his brother, H.E. Indian, and five cherished grandchildren. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Josephine Bishop and James H. Strandell, as well as his brothers, James Strandell and Jack Strandell.

Daniel grew up in Hialeah, Florida. Upon graduating from Hialeah High School, he went on to have a successful career with United Airlines, where he proudly worked for 28 years. After his time at United, he worked for many years as a private investigator. He then moved to Tallahassee, Florida in 2014, where he enjoyed working on his old Harley-Davidsons and spending time with his grandchildren, creating lasting memories that will be treasured by his family.

A memorial service in honor of Daniel's life will be held at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Miami Lakes on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 11 a.m. Family and friends are invited to attend and pay their respects.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the animal welfare charity of your choice.

Daniel Strandell will be deeply missed by his loved ones and all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. May he rest in peace.
