Edith W. Strandell, age 94, died Wednesday, January 31, 2024. Edith was born on January 17, 1930 in Wall, South Dakota to the late Winifred and Emily (Hughes) Hinman.
She was united in marriage to Edwin J. Strandell on January 18, 1947 in Wall, South Dakota. Edwin preceded her in death.
Edith worked in healthcare as a nursing assistant and at both the McEachern Farms and Sunny Dale Farms.
She is survived by a daughter Kathryn "Kay" (Ken) Hetto, a son Edwin C. (Mary Ann) Strandell, 6 grandchildren: Scott (Heather) Dallen, Debi (Chris) Wagner, Chip Dallen (Mitzi), Kathi (Dave) Steffens, Heather (Moua) Vang, Holly (Sean) Wayne, 14 great grandchildren, and 12 great great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Edith was preceded in death by a daughter Debra Dziak, two sisters: Ruth Renner and Joyce Hinman, and three brothers: Robert Hinman, Lerrill Hinman, and Clayton Hinman.
All are invited to the celebration of life for Edith will be held on February 10, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Peck Town Hall to share memories and stories.
