Willodean Gallagher Obituary

GALLAGHER, Willodean, age 87, of Pelham, departed this life on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2016, at Willows at Winchester. Ms. Gallagher was born on May 24, 1928, in Pelham to the late Joseph and Aubrey Patton Gallagher. She was a member of the St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Alto. In her youth she was employed at Olan Mills Photography in Chattanooga. In her later years she worked at various factories in Winchester. Most of her life she and her family owned and operated their dairy farm in Pelham. She loved to garden and her favorite hobby was her walks with her dog, Mack. She was a loving and devoted daughter, sister and aunt. Her greatest testament in life was giving of herself to the service of others, especially her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Benton (Cleora) Gallagher and Clark Gallagher. Ms. Gallagher is survived by her sisters, Virginia Gipson of Pelham and Mary Clementine Smith and her husband Roy of Alto; brother, Alfred L. Gallagher of Pelham; sister-in-law, Mary F. Gallagher of Pelham; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family was held on Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2016, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Grant Funeral Services in Estill Springs. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Grant Funeral Services. Interment will follow in the Franklin Memorial Gardens in Winchester.
