Earlier today
I first met Joe when he was a Cadet trainee in the Skagit Valley College Park Ranger Law Enforcement Academy in 2001. I knew him to be a good man, thoughtful, passionate about protecting, conserving, preserving and interpreting natural, cultural and historic resources. Above all, he was kind. I saw him several times down through the years, and recall his laugh and sharing his joy about what he was doing in service. Taken far too soon; Tee and I join the many others who will miss him. May he rest in eternal, heavenly peace.
