March 11, 1941 - January 19, 2025

Linda Sue Scronce, age 83, of Maiden, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025.

The family will receive friends from 1 until 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2025, in the Daniels Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall. A graveside service will follow in the church cemetery. Pastor Ralph Kraft will officiate.

Linda was born March 11, 1941, in Lincoln County, to the late Richard Harold Scronce and Blonnie Lucillle Speagle Scronce. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Scronce, Sr.; and a brother, Ray Scronce. She worked in textiles.

She is survived by a son, John Henry Scronce, Jr. of Vale; daughter, Amy Suzette S. Gales (Rick) of Lincolnton; brothers, Keith Scronce (Audrey) and Jeff Scronce, all of Vale; four sisters, Carolyn S. Whitesides (Sam) of Vale, Wanda Kay S. McAllister (Ronnie) of Lincolnton, Sandra S. Wilkinson (Garry) of Denver, and Mary Ann S. Rogers (Don) of South Carolina; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Donna P. Scronce of Vale; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Daniels Lutheran Church, 3170 Reepsville Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
