Nancy Itz Obituary

NANCY DILLON ITZ, born October 30, 1922 in Kansas City, MO, passed away May 9, 2007. Her parents B Wheeler Dillon and Harry A. Dillon and her brother, James Wheeler Dillon at age 6, preceded her in death. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Warren B. Itz, son David Dillon Itz and wife Juliana, son James Harrison Itz and Debra Waite, by granddaughters Elsa Itz Chapman and husband Darren, Sarah Itz and Mary Itz and great granddaughters, Kacey and Jackie Chapman. Nancy loved Jesus Christ and had many active years at First Presbyterian Church, San Antonio. For the last 26 years she took an active part in First Presbyterian Church, Houston. She enjoyed teaching young children about Jesus Christ in Sunday school and was an active bible moderator in the women's circles. During World War II, she worked as an American Red Cross volunteer twice a week in the therapeutic section of the burn unit at Brooke General Hospital, Ft. Sam Houston. For 64 years she was active member of P.E.O. She is a graduate of St. Mary's Hall, San Antonio, Stephens College (then a 2 year college) and The University of Texas, Austin where she was active in Kappa Alpha Theta. Nancy will be interred in San Antonio on Saturday, May 12th. On Monday, May 14th at 11 am, a memorial service will be led by the Rev. Dr. Bill Heston in the sanctuary at First Presbyterian Church, Houston followed by a reception in Fellowship Hall. In Lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Cottey College, sponsored by P.E.O. and located at 1000 West Austin, Nevada, MO 64772 or to a charity of your choice.
