Nancy Webb Obituary
Greenfield - Nancy Lee Webb, 83, of Greenfield, IN, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021, at Hancock Regional Hospital. Born in Indianapolis on October 18, 1937, she was the daughter of Norman and Mildred (Campbell) Brown.
Nancy was a graduate of Southport High School, class of 1955, and went on to become a Registered Nurse, graduating from Marion County General Hospital School of Nursing in 1961. During her career as a nurse, she worked at the medical practice of Dr. Deever and Dr. Kopecky, Wishard Hospital and retired from Bell Flower Clinic. Nancy's attentiveness, empathy and compassion made her well-loved by patients and co-workers alike.
She married Gerald (Jerry) Webb on June 11, 1966 in Indianapolis and spent 54 loving years together. Nothing was more important to Nancy than family. She loved just spending time together, attending her grandchildren's sporting events, playing euchre and "Idiot's Delight" and laughing with one another. She also enjoyed getting together and reminiscing with old friends.
Throughout Nancy's life, she drew people in with her warmth, kindness and beautiful spirit. When you talked with her, she could make you feel like you were the only person in the world. She was a giving person, gentle soul, and had a special way of caring for others. She will be greatly missed.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Gerald Webb of Greenfield; two daughters, Robin (Alan) Fogg and Julie (Brian) Engelmann; six grandchildren, Ryan (Julie), Matthew, David and Kayla Fogg, Luke and Jordan Engelmann; two sisters June Robbins and Peggy Hohlt; sister-in-laws Virginia Davis and Sherri Webb; several nieces and nephews.
A private family service will be held. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, St. Margaret's Guild for Nursing Excellence, or charity of donor's choice. Friends may share a memory or condolence at www.erleweinmortuary.com.
Arrangements are being handled by Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory in Greenfield.
