Wanjek Michael A. With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Michael A. Wanjek, age 61, on May 15, 2025, after facing many unseen health challenges with dignity and quiet grace. A Philadelphia native who called St. Augustine his home for more than 20 years, Mike lived with intent. He made his mark at Holy Ghost Prep in Philadelphia, graduated from Penn State, and went on to receive his masters at La Salle. He spent most of his professional life in medical sales, never losing his curiosity for the cutting edge of science. Clients and peers consistently sought out his insight because of his charisma and honesty. But Mike's true dedication was to his family: traveling the world together, offering guidance with infinite patience, and even enthusiastically coaching his daughter's softball team. He is remembered lovingly by his daughter, Natalie Wanjek, whom he loved beyond measure; his former wife, Marta Senyszyn, who remained a steady and supportive friend; and his siblings Edward Wanjek, Jeanne Gray, and Christopher Wanjek, who recall an engaging brother who took great care of their mother in Florida in her later years. Mike was a man of great intellect and enduring loyalty to those he cared for - even when he asked little for himself. His sense of humor was as timeless as his favorite songs, and his happiest days were spent with his toes in the sand and a Phillies game on the radio. Mike's absence is felt deeply.
