Michael Darico Obituary
He was born on Jan. 7, 1953, in Manchester, son of the late Andrew and Mary (Rickes) Darico. Mike grew up in Rockville and was a graduate of Rockville High School, Class of 1971. Mike worked locally and most recently retired from Vernon Manor in Vernon. He was a fun-loving, social and compassionate person who would engage in conversation easily. Mike was creative and artistic with some of his projects displayed publicly. His knowledge and information about people, places and things will be missed by many.
He is survived by his sister Jane Darico of Bolton; a nephew Matthew Addiss of Tarzana, California; a loving Godchild Jamie Mihok of Uncasville; and many caring and loving childhood friends, too numerous to list here and a few scattered cousins. In addition to his parents, Mike was predeceased by his sister Beverly Edmonds Addiss; and his special friend Missy Kitty.
A graveside service will be in the Grove Hill Cemetery, 22 Cemetery Ave., Vernon, on Thursday, May 27, 2021, at 11 a.m. There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Protectors of Animals, 144 Main St., East Hartford, CT 06118.
