WILLIAM J. CARDELL

1965 - 2016

11/19/65 - 2/21/16 William "Bill" Cardell, 50, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Feb. 21, 2016, after a long battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. Bill is survived by his wife Christina Roney Cardell, son Samuel W. Kendrix, brother David Cardell and sister Karen Cardell. He also leaves behind his father and mother-in-law, Glenn and Olivia Roney, several in-laws and their spouses along with many nieces and nephews. All of his family will dearly miss his fun loving presence. Preceding Bill in death are his father H. Bruce Cardell, mother Ruth A. Cardell, brother Kenneth P. Cardell, sister-in-law Corinne "Connie" Cardell and brother James A. Cardell. Bill was born in Buffalo, NY and moved to Overland Park, KS in 1966 where he attended SM South High School and graduated from the University of Kansas. He was a long time member of Heartland Community Church in Olathe, KS where he faithfully served his church family in many ways. Anyone who knew Bill, knew he loved Jesus, deeply loved his family and friends, enjoyed being sarcastic and had a unique fun sense of humor. He was passionate about his conservative political views, being a member of the NRA, riding his motorcycle and watching KU basketball. Memorial services will be Saturday, February 27, 2016, 10:00 am at Heartland Community Church, 12175 Strang Line Road, Olathe, KS. In lieu of flowers, his family wishes donations be made in Bill's name to City Union Mission and/or the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
