DEARINGER Anna Louise Lane, 89, widow of John Arthur (Jack) Dearinger, died peacefully and in the presence of her loving family on July 29. A daughter of J. Albert and Ada L. She was an Associate of the Congregation of Divine Providence, a Kentucky Colonel, a member of NARFE, and a Fellow of the Newman Foundation, and a member of the Holy Spirit Parish, Lexington. She is survived by her children Pamela (Allen) Hutton of Anderson County, David Bernard Dearinger of Boston, and Kevin Lane Dearinger of New York and Lexington; two siblings, Minnie Sue Nelson and Bill Lane of Lexington; a granddaughter, Christy (Robert) Bicknell of Anderson County; two great-grandchildren, Lane and Jenna Bicknell of Anderson County; several step-grandchildren; and a number of devoted nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, parents, and three siblings, Robert E. Lane of Louisville, Christine Lane McDonald of Versailles, and Joseph A. Lane Jr. of Lexington. Celebrants of her life are invited to visit at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, E. Main Street, Lexington, Sunday from 6-8pm and to attend a memorial the following day at the same location beginning at 10am Monday. Burial will follow at Lexington Cemetery. I just saw your mothers obituary in The Woodford Sun this morning. I am so sorry for your loss. I would like to have come in person to tell you how sorry I am. Pam, David & Kevin, I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. My mother passed in 1997. Not a day passes that I don't think of her and miss her. The pain eases but the loss will always be there. I hope all of you are doing well. Friends forever!

I never did have the opportunity to actually meet her but I felt like I knew her as we talked a lot on the phone. She will be missed.

David - I met your mother only once; that was when she delivered your genealogy study to my house. I know she had to be a wonderful, caring person to be so interested in distant "cousins" or whatever. My sister Thelma Louise Lee Jarvis, had more contact with your mother than I, so I'm sure she would have been saddened over your loss. Thelma passed away on June 22, only a short time before your mother. We both appreciated the time you and your mother dedicated to the Lane family genealogy. So sorry for your loss.
