I first met Marjorie when I began my doctoral studies at UCLA in l966. She worked closely with Professor Seagoe who became chair of her dissertation committee. Marjorie brought a quiet elegance and "class" to Moore Hall. She and I shared many interests and I enjoyed our long chats. I saw Marjorie at the 50th anniversary of the UCLA Faculty Center and could not believe that so many years had past. Marjorie maintained her beauty into her 80s and the only change was that she was not wearing her spiked heel shoes!
