Holding Jess & her family in my heart on her birthday. I first met Jess doing yoga in Covelo CA. We held a memorial yoga class here last night with an altar for her. Other yogi friends were simultaneously practicing yoga in New York & Ecuador. Jess was a warm, welcoming effervescent human who I will miss every day of my life. Many years ago, we back packed the Yolla Bolly´s together and she was my steadfast companion & confidante. Her spirit flies free. My deepest condolences to her family and friends.

I have so many fond memories of my life with Jessica, ever since age 13. We had the opportunity to last visit at her home in Penn Valley last winter...amidst the gardens, the beautiful new workshop with all of her blacksmithing tools and jewelery equipment...just waiting for her to make her magic...I have so many memories and long to create new ones. Jessica was like a part of our family. This is a photo of the flower arrangements Jess and I made for my sister's wedding party...we hand-picked every single flower from three farms, including her garden. I love you Jessica. My sincerest condolences to the whole family. I am saddened by this loss and wish you all peace in this time of loss. May Jessica's spirit be with you always.

Thank you, one and all, for your heartfelt remembrances of my beautiful Jessica. With each tribute, the weight of her loss becomes a little lighter, a little more bearable. Think of her when a whisper of a breeze passes you close, and leaves a fleeting scent of wildflowers. You'll know.

To my dearest Jessica. I will always cherish all the love and laughs you have given me as well as the world. The world is a darker place without your light shining so bright. From all the beautiful art sculptures you have made to the lively garden you have tended to. I will miss you with all my heart and never forget you. Love you always and forever Jessica

I could tell Jessica was a gentle caring flower when she was 4 or 5. Her sensitivity was evident. So sorry that she left so soon, but I can tell from the comments that she drank life from a full trough!

I had the honor of working with Jessica at the Fillmore Auditorium and Warfield Theatre in San Francisco for many years. We were like family to each other there. It saddens me to know that she is no longer with us. My condolences to her family and friends.
I will always remember her smile and sense of humor.

What a beautiful description of Jess. I think fondly of Jess´s smile and laughter. My fondest memory is when the two of us hiked up to ski Tuckermans Ravine. We had a great day together and took several runs.
She was a great skier.
Several years ago she showed up at my gallery in New Orleans. She walked in and playfully asked, "So, do you remember Jessica McEwan?"
It was a wonderful surprise to see her. She radiated great energy!
Sorry you had to leave so soon Jess. Warm condolences to your family and loved ones.
Rest in peace.

All of my good childhood memories include Jess (and you too, Lynne). I've mentioned her so often that my daughters know her name well. Clearly she touched many other lives. Sending you all my deepest sympathies.

Lynne and family, it is with a broken heart that I write this message. Jessica will always hold a special place in my heart. I was blessed with her friendship for so many years in the Bay Area. She encapsulated the strength of the elements of nature while also being uniquely feminine, graceful, and beautiful. To say that I will miss her is an understatement. My love goes out to you and your family.
