To the family of the Rev. David Miles. I'm so sorry to have just learned of his passing at this late date. I have nothing but pleasant memories of David when I met him while we were both attending VA Union Proctor School Theology. He was truly an example of what a great man was. Rest in peace my friend, and Lord willing I'll see you again one day on the other side.

My thoughts and prayers are with his family and I pray that they find comfort and peace. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. May God bless and keep you all.

Dear Mrs. Miles, Andrea, Kim, James, and family, I join everyone in deep sadness and prayer for you grieving such a great loss. David or "Miles!" as so many called him was such a great friend to everyone he met. He so willingly shared his love of God, family, and community with you. Once he counted you as friend; he counted you as family. I will remember David and will cherish his friendship always. Rest well my friend. My heart goes out to your family and the community where you made such an impact. In loving memory,

Condolences to the family of David Miles. I met David while at NCCU Graduate School in 2002. We have been friends every since. I will miss him dearly. He was such a kind and loving person. He became the brother I never had. I will always love him and remember the memories we shared. Although he is gone he will never be forgotten. I will always think of him when I hear one of his favorite gospel songs, "There's a Leak in this Old Building.. and my Soul has got to move..." Love you miles, I will see you one day at the pearly gates.
