David Mack Watkins

David Mack Watkins, 61, of Cassville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on the evening of Tuesday, May 23 at Floyd Medical Center in Rome.
He is survived by his parents, Betty and Mack Watkins; his wife, Kathy Watkins; his children, Jason Watkins, Shawna Watkins Fultz and Rhimee Watkins; and his grandchildren, Will and Isla Fultz, Landon and Rhikole Broadnax and Sunshine and Orion Harper.
David is also lovingly remembered by his brothers Terry, Jeff and Jonathan Watkins and their families, as well as his life-long friend, Frank White.
Born in Greenville, South Carolina, David lived the majority of his life in the Bartow County area. He was baptized at Tabernacle Baptist Church and was a graduate of Cartersville High School.
An avid outdoorsman, he loved to hunt and fish. He was also a skilled craftsman and enjoyed building things.
David lived life to the fullest. Wherever he went, fun was sure to follow. He had a booming voice, an infectious laugh and a smile that could brighten any room or any occasion. David was a big man with an even bigger heart. He was known and loved by many and will be deeply missed.
A funeral service will be conducted in the Owen Funeral Home Chapel at eleven o'clock in the morning on Friday, May 26, 2017.
Honorary pallbearers for the service will be Michael Hudson, Steve Teems, Gary Lipscomb, Bob Tatum, David Johnson, Todd Olsen and Jake and Josh Watkins.
