James Franklin Martine, 82, passed away on December 5, 2024, in Leesburg, NJ. Born on November 19, 1942 in Suffern, NY, James also resided in Bailey, NC and Millville, NJ before spending his final months with his son in Leesburg, NJ. James dedicated his life to his family and community, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.

James was a true conversationalist, engaging with people on a wide array of topics ranging from politics and religion to sports. He had a deep rooted commitment to his family, whom he cherished deeply. James was a devoted member of Airmont Lutheran Church in Suffern, NY, and St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Millville, NJ.

Professionally, James retired from a career in research and development at Avon. His love for gardening and baseball provided him with much joy and relaxation, and he often shared these interests with his son and grandchildren. Additionally, James was a dedicated volunteer at the Help and Hope Food Bank, demonstrating his commitment to aiding those in need.

James was predeceased by his beloved wife, Roselyn Marshall Martine. He is survived by his son, James C. Martine; daughter-in-law, Jessica Martine; and granddaughters, Eden and Maya Martine. His presence will be profoundly missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him. No memorial service is planned. Those who wish to honor his memory are encouraged to make a donation to Help and Hope Ministries Food Bank in Millville, NJ, through their website HelpandHopeMinistries.org, contributing to a cause close to his heart.
