Michael Ray Marlow passed away on 1-16-2016 at home in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. He was born in Durant, Oklahoma on October 13, 1950 to Edward and Rachel Marlow. They moved to Sapulpa a short time later where he graduated from Sapulpa High School in 1969. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves. After his discharge he went on to Oklahoma State University. He was an avid Pokes fan.
Mike was a carpenter and owned his own construction company. He married Debra Grimm on October 21, 1995. Mike enjoyed hunting and playing the drums in the Sapulpa Community Band, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Mike had two sisters and one brother- sister Patsy, and husband Jim Richardson from Oklahoma City, brother Ron Marlow and wife Jan from Phoenix, Arizona, and sister Linda and husband Don Burgess from Mounds, Oklahoma. Mike had one son and two step-sons, Chris Marlow from Tulsa, Oklahoma, Kevin and Tim Grim from Sapulpa, Oklahoma.
Mike had nine grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mike was proceeded in death by his parents Edward and Rachel Marlow, one nephew Joshua Upchurch, and brother-in-law Pokey Douglas.
Mike was a great husband, father, and papa. He was a true friend to many and will be missed by all.
A gathering will be held on Tuesday, January 19th from 5 p.m.- 7 p.m. at Smith’s Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at Kellyville City Cemetery at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 20th with Pastor Gary Brown officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, 1208 S Main St, Sapulpa, OK.

Definitely gone too soon. So many memories from those band days of long ago. My thoughts & prayers are with the family. I was so sad to hear about mike iv been his waitress for about 15 year he only ordered about 3 different things so we had us a 1,2 or 3 system so when he came in I would say 1,2 or 3 and in about 10 minutes he was eating I will sure miss him. his wife and kids are our family down at cafe USA he will sure be missed
