Verna VOTH Obituary
June 25, 1921 – April 2, 2016
Verna, formerly of Hepburn, SK, passed away peacefully at Spruce Manor Special Care Home in Dalmeny, a few miles from where she was born nearly 95 years ago. She is loved and remembered by her daughter Joanne (Dale) Janzen, Dalmeny, SK, son Ken Voth, Hepburn, SK, and daughter-in-law Kelli Voth, Saskatoon, SK; grandchildren Shannon (Calvin) Grabler, Cherhill, AB, and children Karsten, Rylen, Dallen and Shelten; Sheryl (Brad) Cairns, Dalmeny, SK, and children Layne, McKinna, Keardyn and Everitt; and Steven Janzen, Dalmeny, SK, Adam Voth, Hepbrun, SK, Julia Voth, Los Angeles, CA, Andrew Voth, Hepburn, SK, Katelyn Voth, Zurich, Switzerland. Vera was predeceased by her husband Cornie and all her siblings. Verna, a lifelong homemaker, was involved with the family farm, her church and community. The family thanks Cindy Olexson and staff at Spruce Manor Special Care Home where Mom resided for the past five years. Family and friends are invited to a viewing at Dalmeny Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Hepburn MB Church, 221 2nd Ave S, Hepburn, at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow. Arrangements entrusted to Stefan Funk at Dalmeny Funeral Home (306-254-2022).

Our condolences to Verna's family. She was a good neighbour with a fine sense of humour. We enjoyed joining her and your dad, [granddad] at Hymn Sings in Hepburn. You will miss her but she is enjoying the joys of heaven where she is now a permanent resident. Our love to all of you.

My sympathy to Verna's family. I knew her when she and Cornie came to the Older Adult Wellness Clinic every month in Hepburn where I was the nurse. Such a lovely couple! I recall Verna's little comment that she always made about out the weather "It is a good thing that the Lord is the one to look after the weather and not one of us!" and then she would have a little giggle at her joke. I am sure she will be missed.
