Timothy Grover Obituary

DRACUT

Timothy "Tim" Grover, age 59, a longtime resident of Dracut, passed away peacefully at his home on November 21, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Christine (Parks) Grover with whom he enjoyed 28 years of marriage.

He was born in East Boston on March 4, 1964; the son of the late Frederick and Bernadette (Donovan) Grover.

Tim, a graduate from Lowell High School, Class of '82, had a passion for football that sparked during his high school days, shaping him into an avid fan of the sport. No matter the Patriots' performance, he remained a steadfast spectator through the highs and lows. Beyond the cheers of the game, Tim was a self-made entrepreneur, at the helm of Madison Security Group, headquartered in Lowell. His ventures in business didn't define him entirely. Tim found joy in chance, often testing his luck at casinos, particularly in the vibrant energy of Las Vegas. Yet, his heart truly sang amidst family moments in serene Maine. Artistry coursed through his veins, a talent he gracefully passed down to his daughter, Madison. An enthusiast of diverse literature, Tim delved into history books and biographies with equal zeal. His passions were diverse, from nurturing gardens to engaging in spirited racquetball matches. The melodies of chirping birds found solace in his backyard, a testament to his care for the littlest creatures. Compassion illuminated his character, forever extending a helping hand to those in need. Cooking wasn't just a hobby; it was a canvas for his creativity. Tim's home was a hub for grandiose feasts, hosting gatherings and cookouts where laughter filled the air. Wednesday lunches with close friends were treasured moments, woven into the fabric of his routine. Above all, Tim's happiness emanated from the love of his close-knit circle-friends and family who held an immeasurable adoration for him.

In addition to his loving wife, Christine, Tim is survived by his daughters, Caitlin Grover, Shannon Grover, and Madison Grover; his granddaughters, Makenzie, Kayleigh, Evelyn, and Adeline; his siblings, Thomas Grover and his wife Amanda, Theresa Grover, Tracy Nicholson, Theodore Grover, Tina Fitzgerald and her husband Eugene, and Paul Grover and his wife Diane. The Grover Family is blessed with many wonderful nieces and nephews. Tim was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Megan Grover, who passed away in 2014. Our hope and prayer is that after being separated in life they are now together and at peace.

Visiting Hours will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT. His Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Westlawn II Cemetery, LOWELL. Funeral Directors Paul A. Hardy, Jr. & Jennifer Lebaropoulos Hardy. For directions and online guestbook, visit DRACUTFUNERALHOME.COM and find us on Facebook.

As the anniversary of Tim's passing, I hope hid family knows there are people who miss him, and who loved him. He was a true friend when I was young, and I tried to return that when he was older and going through a difficult time. To his children, your father was a good man. He had lapses and mistakes, as we all do. Yet his generous heart was always trying to do good, and to help others. That is the friend I miss.

To the Grover family, you have my deepest sympathy. I knew Tim, at school (St. Pats.) He was funny, incredibly intelligent, and just a good kid. I'm so sad he isn't in this world anymore.
Rest in peace, Tim.

You always made me call you Tim. I respect that. My only wish in life was that you didn't try to hurry it up. Please tell my best friend I love her.

Rest in peace. When I knew you when we were in high school, you were the best security guard ever! You saved me from being grounded indefinitely! I´ll never forget you

Tim was a great friend. He did yearn for knowledge of everything. I fondly remember him talking to my dad on several topics that I knew nothing about, he definitely held his own. I have great memories of Ho Jo's, Bickfords and the Dubliner. I saw another side of Tim when he showed up in my classroom on parents night. Reading Madison's stories of her and her dad in Maine brought a smile to my face. If you were lucky enough to know Tim, you were truly lucky. My condolences to his brothers and sisters and Christine and Madison.

I have known Tim since we were sixteen. I am sad today at his loss. I loved him. He was always a man who struggled to do the right thing. Like myself, and most others, he sometimes failed. Yet I believe there will be a better place for, and at last, the peace he only rarely found in his life here with us. Godspeed, my friend.
