Barbara Ann Forney, 80, of Trail Creek, Indiana, passed away with her loving family around her on Sunday, Oct. 5, 2025, at her home in Trail Creek.
Private family services will be held with burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
The Root Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Barbara was born Aug, 21, 1945, in Earl, Arkansas, to the late Curtis and Hazel (Crane) Lindsey.
On July 3, 1987, she married Lloyd Forney, who is surviving in Trail Creek.
Also surviving is one daughter, Samantha (Eric) Evans; two step-children; Denise (Jeff) West and Lloyd (Dawn) Forney Jr.; six grandchildren, Josh Layman, Ryan (Alexis) West, Stephanie (Emery) Strieter, Jordan Forney, Brandon Forney and Audrey Forney; two great-grandchildren; one special sister, Carol Jenner; her special furbabies, George and Charlie; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
She is preceded in death by one daughter, Tammy L. Jenner Layman; three sisters, Shirley Ann Ent, Marilyn Laingran and Virginia B. "Bogie" Jenner; and one brother, Gene Wayne.
Barbara worked at American Home Foods, Swiss Controls and Dwyer Instruments.
She attended Lindsey Chapel and Full Gospel Church. She loved to spend time with her family and tending to her flower gardens. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
