Ralph Joseph Mark Jr., 90, of Trail Creek passed away on Monday, Oct. 6, 2025, at his home in Trail Creek with his loving family by his side.
Private family services will be held with burial at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery.
The Root Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Ralph was born June 28, 1935, in Michigan City to Ralph J. Mark Sr. and Nettie (Priebe) Mark. His parents are preceding him death.
On Sept. 20, 1958, in Anderson, Indiana, he married Diane (Nelson) Mark, who is surviving in Trail Creek.
Also surviving is one daughter, Sue (Greg) Eickholt; two sons, Joe (April) and Dave (Cathy) Mark; seven grandchildren, Natalee, Alex, Carly, Ryan, Kevin, Jenny and Jessie; four great-grandchildren, Lennox, Ezra, Declan and Amelia; one sister, Carole Howard; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
He is preceded in death by one brother, Francis "Fran" Mark.
Ralph was an expert tax accountant and a retired credit manager.
He was a proud veteran serving in the Army. He was a graduate of St. Mary's High School and was a big part of their athletics and his teammates nicknamed him Rabbit. He was the rock of the family and also had a level head and calm personality. He enjoyed for years doing tax forms for his family and friends. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Memorials may be made to Dunes Hospice or St. Stanislaus Kostka Church.
