Cisco Brummett, age 75, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away on Dec. 30, 2025, surrounded by his family.
Cisco was born on April 1, 1950, to James Brummett and Juanita (Belcher) Brummett, who have preceded him in death.
Cisco is survived by his adoring daughter, Jennifer Gouge; his cherished grandchildren, Erich (Paden) Alt, Ethan (Kalyani) Alt, Paige (Josh) Haddon, Brian Brummett Jr. and Parker Gouge; great-grandchildren, Alaina Alt, Ava Alt, Adaline Alt and Alaric Alt; sisters, Linda Beatty and Connie (Stan) Noble; and best friend of more than 60 years, Jack Kraemer; as well as the rest of the entire Kraemer Family.
He is also preceded in death by his beloved wife of 35 years, Brenda (Vincent) Brummett; son, Brian Brummett Sr.; daughter, Ann Brummett Robinson; and best friend, Kathy Kraemer.
Cisco was a hardworking and honorable man who dedicated more than 40 years of service to Bethlehem Steel before retiring. Skilled with his hands, he found great satisfaction in woodworking, crafting furniture and birdhouses, and even building a cabin. He enjoyed the freedom of riding his motorcycles and driving his Corvette, and he had a deep love for the outdoors, taking great pride in the care of his yard. Above all, he loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. As his family fondly remembers, "He was a hard man, but he loved his family."
Friends may visit with the family at Geisen-Carlisle Funeral Home, located at 613 Washington St., Michigan City, on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at 12:30 p.m. with Pastor Paul Pickens, officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Lake Cemetery in La Porte.
