Philip Winegardner Obituary
Philip Arthur Winegardner, 74, of Westville, Indiana, was peacefully called to his Heavenly home on Feb. 17, 2026.
Philip was born on Nov. 22, 1951, in Elwood, Indiana. He had a love for creating unusual yard art and gardening. Philip had a natural talent as a fix it guy and was always ready to help others.
Philip is survived by his wife of 39 years, Sharon McDougal Winegardner; a son, Joseph Kyle Mercer and his wife Sarah Mercer; and three grandchildren, Athena Sertic, Joseph Kyle Mercer Jr. and James Mercer, all of Westville, Indiana. Preceded in death by his father and mother, Charles and Betty Winegardner; brother, Eddie Winegardner; and sister, Beth Hicks. Also survived by many nephews and nieces.
He was retired from HP Products, Indianapolis, Indiana, where he worked as a service technician. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in South Haven, Indiana.
A memorial for family will be scheduled at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church, South Haven, Indiana, in his memory.
