Rose Mary Webb, 96, passed away on April 1, 2024, at Oak Grove Christian Retirement Village in DeMotte, Indiana.
She was born in Coolspring Twp. to William and Theresa (Pizarek) Kieffer. She was a graduate of St. Mary's High School in 1946 and lived in Michigan City and the La Porte area most of her life. Raised on a farm on Kieffer Road (400 N) which was named after her grandparents. Rose Mary was employed at Society Lingerie and Arno Tape before retiring.
She enjoyed reading, watching the Chicago Blackhawks and going out to lunch with her school chums. Rose Mary had a variety of health issues throughout her life, but no matter what she continued to have a feisty spirit and fought up until the end. She will be fondly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Joseph Marciniak and Amon Webb; sisters, Eleanor and Dorthy Kieffer, Margaret Keyon and Irene Skeggs; and her lifelong best friend, Rose Santow. Surviving is one daughter, Cecelia (Dale) Bell; sister-in-law, Shirley West; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 5, 2024, at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana, with Rev. Walter Rakoczy officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m., Friday at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel.
