Stephen Farmer Obituary
Stephen is survived by his wife, Rebecca and her father, Lyman Uland of Wichita Falls, his brother, Michael Farmer of Houston, his nephew, John Thomas Farmer O'Kane of Washington D.C., and many friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the North Texas Rehabilitation Center or a charity of your choice. Remembrances should be sent to #5 Leon Circle, Wichita Falls, TX 76309.

This saddens me in a way that I can't begin to explain. I was 16 when I met Dr. Farmer. & he was my doctor until he retired in July. I'm about to be 47. So I knew him for the majority of my life. I feel that it's because of him that I'm still here. It hurt me when he retired. But this crushes my soul & my spirit. I will be eternally grateful to him & he will forever be missed...... Mrs. Becky I'm so so sorry. I love the both of y'all. I pray God gives you strength & comfort during this most difficult time.

Dr Farmer was truly one of the best doctors my family has ever known. He was so caring and compassionate. He has seen my special needs daughter for years and she just loved him. He always took his time to make sure he explained every thing to us and wanted to know if we had any questions. He also took care of my Mother years ago when she was admitted to the ER.. We will miss him so much. My prayers for his family.

Just got word this morning that Dr. Stephen Farmer passed away a week ago Saturday. Prayers and Sympathy are extended to his family, friends and co-workers. He was my Doctor for nearly 40 years and Jim's for about 8 years and considered one of the best. He was not only your Dr., he was your friend. Rest in Peace our Doctor and Friend. Dr Farmer was the best neurologist, so glad he selected Wichita Falls to practice in. He was Gregory and Shayla doctor.for many years. We saw him in mid July before retirement. He was top notch in his field of neurology, a compassionate and kind and really caring doctor, this comes from within the soul . This family will certainly miss him and his sweet wife Becky. May God give comfort to her.

The best neurologist anywhere. He was Gregory and Shayla doctor. He was the most compassionate and kind and sincere doctor.
We saw him in middle of July prior to his retirement.

Becky, my heart is broken at the news of Dr. Farmers passing. I always looked forward to my appointments because of the joy, laughter, kindness and care that was always present. Dr Farmer was one of the best Drs that I had the pleasure of working beside. He was a genuine person and a very caring physician. Over the years I worked with him we had various challenges with patients. He always encouraged the nurses to collaborate with him and come up with the best plan of treatment. He valued our feedback and made it a pleasure taking care of some of our most challenging patients.
Ive shared the story the day the CDC sent us some antitoxin for one of most special patients. When we opened it and it had no instructions inside...we had no idea we would be making medical history and saving the life of the young man before us.
I enjoyed the years beside him and all the good we brought to people.
Great man great doc he will be missed.

I am so sorry about Dr. Farmers passing. I'm so happy I got to see you and Dr. Farmer last month at Sam's. I couldn't thank him enough for all he did for my mom. He has taken care of her for 30 years. He would always return my calls when mom was having a MS flare up. He always knew how to calm me down and explain things to me. I am forever grateful for all that he did.

Becky, I am just devastated to hear that Dr. Farmer passed away. Our family has known him since 1989 when he took care of our mother before she passed away. Since 1989, he had taken care of our little siuster, Vicki. Oh how she loved him. Even when she was mad, he could make her smile. After she passed away this past May, my heart was so deeply touched when he called me , the day after she passed away, to express his condolences. He had such emotion in his voice and our family will never be able to repay his kindness & knowledge & treatment for Vicki. He was a kind & gentle soul & will be greatly missed. I am so sorry to hear that this wonderful man and doctor is gone. I worked with him many times throughout our medical careers taking care of his patients in the hospitals. He was also my doctor at one time many years ago for headaches/migraines. He will be greatly missed.
