Benjamin Bleiler Obituary

Benjamin Bruce Bleiler, 47, of Orefield, passed away suddenly due to an automobile accident on Sunday, December 19th.

Born in Allentown, February 8, 1974 he was the son of Bruce Bleiler and Georgene (Wieder) Bleiler of Allentown.

He was a 1993 graduate of Emmaus High School and continued his studies at Penn State University, later transferring to Lehigh County Community College where he earned an associate degree in Biomedical Engineering. He has been employed for the past 18 years at Lehigh Valley Health Network, currently holding the position of Technical Service Manager in Clinical Engineering.

Ben enjoyed being outdoors. He was a skilled archery shooter and loved spending time with his family hunting and fishing at his hunting camp in Clearfield County, PA. The Bleiler's were season ticket holders to the Iron Pigs and he very much enjoyed this family time together watching the games. He loved his "YOTA" and took pristine care of it, enjoyed vacationing with his family and friends, spending time on the beach and boogie boarding, sampling a new craft beer, rafting and camping trips, the annual Syracuse basketball game, music concerts, and just relaxing and spending time with family and friends.

Most importantly, he was a loving and caring dad who could be found in the stands cheering on his son Brayden at his baseball games or sitting on the floor putting together Lego's and playing monster trucks with his son Dylan. He was a wonderful husband to his wife Erin who was equally as supportive and encouraging of him. He was a loved son and brother and overall good person who was an even better friend to all who knew him.

Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his wife of 3 years, the former Erin Kimball; sons Brayden and Dylan; sister Brenda Stuart of Kernersville, NC; nephew Joshua Stuart and niece Makayla Stuart of Texas; mother-in-law Mary Skinner of Allentown; father-in-law Michael Kimball of Novasota, TX and sister-in-law Mary Elizabeth Kimball of D.C.

No services are planned at this time. However, a Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a future date.

I had the pleasure of being Ben's 6th grade teacher in Emmaus. Many years later, his son Brayden, joined the school in Parkland where I was the school counselor. Brayden was the spitting image of his dad when he was younger, and we developed a really neat connection through Ben. Now, Dylan attends the same school and I see the resemblance! Ben & I re-met at a school event right before the accident. I was thrilled to see what a nice, young man he had become. I was very upset by the accident. It is a blessing that his legacy continues on through his children. It is clear they love him and have his relaxed temperament.

Ben and I went to high school together and I got to see him often over the years as his best friend, Ray married my sister (Maria). He was a wonderful friend and amazing father. He is missed terribly and prayers are being sent to you, his parents, wife, children and sister daily.
