Wittman, Christopher Chris Wittman, 47, of Green Bay, Wisconsin and formerly of Allentown, died Aug. 22 in Green Bay. Born in Allentown, he was a son of Charles Wittman Sr. and Charlene (Aaron) Wittman of Salisbury Twp. Chris was a graduate of Salisbury High School in 1985 and Northland College in 1990, and loved music, nature and the outdoors, staying active, cooking, drawing and painting. He was a fan of baseball, especially the Brewers. Survivors: parents; brothers Charley and Cory Wittman of Allentown, and a half-sister Charlene Wittman of Denver; a niece, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Services: memorial gathering to remember Chris between the hours of 12:00 noon and 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Sep. 1 at Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, 1227 W. Hamilton St., Allentown. My condolences to all who knew Chris. We met at Northland College and formed the first hard rock band to ever perform on campus. He was a wonderful friend and a gentle soul. His untimely passing leaves a hole in the world. I will miss being able to make music with my friend.

I met Chris at Northland College in 1985. We became friends and Fraternity Brothers and were eventually roommates. Chris was always known for his gentile disposition and caring. He is was a good friend and fraternity Brother and his untimely passing has hit all of us very hard. My sincerest condolences to his family and friends. Chris was a great guy and the world is a little emptier knowing he is gone. I miss you Brother more than you will ever know.

I worked with Chris and he was always so polite to me and everyone else he worked with. I was very sad to hear this news and I feel this world has lost a great person. I never asked about his personal life but knew he always had a smile for me and welcomed me by name. I will miss you Chris and so will a lot of people.

Chris was my best friend for many years during childhood. I have shared many fond childhood memories with my wife and kids that have included Chris and for the past year, off and on, I was trying to find Chris. This is a sad day. Thoughts and prayers to Chris's family.
