I was one of the unfortunate people not having the honor and privilege of meeting Joe Garvey.A former A-Treat Worker (Donnie Grube)and a present employee both told me that Joe was a very nice man.I responded to that by saying "I assumed he was because his off spring Joe Jr.and Tom.Both are wonderful and super nice people. It's a great blessing, honor, and privelage to know Joe Jr.and Tom. Both have very big hearts .Now having met Joe's two daughters Kathleen and Sally who are very sweet and personable. Last but not least meeting Joe's wife who is golden and has a beautiful spirit."Behind every good man is a great woman"..Through the obituary article in the Morning Call I learned a few things about Joe. He was a very loyal, couragess, dedicated, and proud military man.I'll bet the planes he flew were in better condition than the A-Treat trucks. He loved his family. He loved sports .He honored his lifetime commitment and covenant of marriage to his wife Virginia.Man of principles and great character .Psalms 90:10 says "The number of our days are 70 years and by reason of strength 80 years"He was blessed with 88 years.U.S Air Force Veteran. Phila.Eagle fan. A-Treat driver .

Dear Ginny, Joey, Tommy, Kathy, Sally and family. I was saddened to hear of Joe's passing. He was a fine man, always a gentleman, very bright, and a great sense of humor. I spent my summers, during college, working at A-Treat. Joe was very fair to work for. He was a buffer between Uncle Joe
and me. I can still picture him at the plant, with the WSJ in his back pocket. Joe, Tony Falco, and I laughed alot during those work days. He leaves us all with so many pleasant memories. Anita and I will remember him, as well as all of you, in our prayers. We have been supporters of the Wounded Warriors Program for well over a year. God Bless All Of You.
