Mark Brown Obituary

Mark Richard Brown, 52 years old of Gilbert Arizona, passed away on April 11, 2021 with his wife of 22 years, Jennifer, and children, Jonathan and Elizabeth, by his side. Mark was born in Hamburg, New York to parents Richard and Cenzia Brown. He graduated from Emmaus High School in Emmaus Pennsylvania and the University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Mark's 26 year career in electronic chemicals moved him to Arizona in 2017. He was the Plant Manager at EMD Electronics, Tempe Arizona; formally Versum Materials, Tempe Arizona; formally Air Products and Chemicals, Trexlertown Pennsylvania; formally Ashland Chemical, Easton Pennsylvania.

He is survived by his parents, Dick and Cenzia of Emmaus, PA; brother Greg and sister-in-law Katherine of Macungie, PA; sister Laura and brother-in-law Louis Evangelista of Collingswood, NJ; father-in-law and mother-in-law Tom and Marie Jordan of Bethlehem, PA; sister-in-law Karen Sobrinski of Bethlehem, PA; and, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Michael and Jennelle Jordan of Clermont, FL. Mark was a loving Uncle to: Mason and Holden Brown; Lacey, Dylan, Emmah, and Rocco Evangelista; Christopher, Kelly, Erik and Leo Sobrinski; and Evelyn Jordan.

Mark enjoyed sports, the outdoors, and volunteering with youth athletics. Over the years, he was a swim instructor; soccer, baseball, and softball coach. He served as the President of the Laurys Athletic Association in Laurys Station Pennsylvania; and, Vice President of Highland High School Baseball Boosters in Gilbert Arizona. His presence will be dearly missed on the sidelines throughout the Valley's baseball and softball complexes.

A Memorial Service in Pennsylvania will be planned at a later date.

So sorry to hear about Mark's passing. I worked with Mark at Ashland and Air Products and I don't ever remember him having a bad word to say about anyone. He always was smiling and happy. RIP Mark.

Heartfelt sympathy and condolences to Mark's family. I just heard from a friend of Mark's passing. To me, he was a coworker and friend from early PA days, really nice person. I always enjoyed his eternally happy smile and that is how I've always remembered him. Mark was a really kind soul, and I am very glad to have known him. My best wishes for peace and comfort to his family and friends who will miss him dearly.
