Michael John Horvath Jr.

North Brunswick - Michael John Horvath Jr., age 72, of North Brunswick New Jersey, (formerly of East Brunswick, NJ) passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2018.

Michael was born on February 3, 1946 in New Brunswick, NJ, the son of the late Michael John Horvath Sr. and Jennie Triandafilou Horvath. He grew up in Highland Park NJ and was a graduate of Highland Park High School in 1964. He married his high school sweetheart, Sharon (Kovatch) Horvath on August 6, 1965. Michael was a proud graduate of Rutgers University, where he obtained his bachelors degree in 1974. In addition he earned his MBA from Pace University in 1979. He most recently began working toward a doctoral degree at Notre Dame University, which was a lifelong dream for him. Michael was the CFO of Dana-Co. in New York City for the past 15 years.

Michael is survived by his wife Sharon of 53 years, their daughters Kimberly Ehrhardt and husband Michael, Tracy Horvath, Shannon Garrity and husband William, all of Lawrenceville NJ, and Danielle Horvath of North Brunswick, NJ. He also was the proud grandfather of Shortcake the cat and Darcey the dog. Michael is also survived by his mother Jennie Horvath, age 103, a lifetime resident of Highland Park, NJ. He is predeceased by his father Michael John Horvath Sr. and his best friend & brother, James Horvath.

Family and friends are invited to the visitation Sunday, August 19, 2018 from 4 to 7 PM at Bronson & Guthlein Funeral Home, 152 North Main Street, Milltown, NJ. A funeral service will take place Monday, August 20, 2018 11:00 AM at St. Paul's Church, 62 South Main Street, Milltown, NJ. Burial will be private.
