Funeral services for Charles Augusta Nails Sr., 66, of Plainview will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church with Apostle Russell Wise of Arlington officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. Mr. Nails died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012. He was born Aug. 26, 1945, in Oklahoma City to Henry and Alberta Nails and moved with his family to Plainview in 1947. He graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1963. He married Alice Faye Goodson in 1962. After her death, he married Betty Jean Carr and on Jan. 1, 2011, he married Twyla Delaine Hines. He attended United Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife; his mother; his daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry Diane and Wayman Harvey, Angela Renee Nails and Donna and Dwight Whitlock, all of Dallas; his sons and daughters-in-law, Charles Jr. and Norma Nails of Austin and Damien and Belinda Nails of Plain­view; stepdaughters, Victoria Hines and Peggy Coleman of Plainview, Felicia Nails and Sonya Nails of Dallas and Tammy Whitfield of Aurora, Colo.; stepsons, Terry Hines of Oklahoma City and Kenneth Brooks Jr. and Quenion Hines of Plainview; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael and LaJoyce Nails of Casa Grande, Ariz., and Leonard and Ramona Nails of Fort Worth; sisters, Della Faye and Lee Van Deloney of Fort Worth, Shirley and James Winfrey of Lawton, Okla., Cynthia and Ronnie Ray of Plainview, Yvonne and Richard Jordan of Fort Worth and Jennell Nails of Lubbock; 25 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. His first wife, Alice Faye, and his second wife, Betty Jean; three sons; a granddaughter, Kierra; his father, Henry Nails Sr.; three brothers, Henry Jr., Kenneth and Zelbert; and three sisters, Della Mae Nails, Arlene White and Allene Ervine, are deceased.
