It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Aaron Blanchard on October 4, 2025, at the young age of 24.
Aaron was predeceased by his grandparents Robert and Marlene Blanchard, Thomas Herbst, and by his beloved childhood canine companions, Rocky and Coda.
He is survived by his loving parents, Richard (“Zeke”) and Laurie Blanchard; his grandmother, Mary Herbst; and his long-time love of his life, Mary Messmer. He will also be deeply missed by Mary’s parents, Pamela (Dann) Dehn and Charles (Christine) Messmer, along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins who cherished him dearly.
Aaron was a very loving and caring son, boyfriend, nephew, and cousin. An Eagle Scout, he lived a life full of talents and passions. He had a love for hunting, snowmobiling, carpentry, and was happiest when outdoors in nature, especially at his family camp up north. Aaron will be remembered as an avid outdoorsman, a loyal friend, and someone you could always count on to lend a hand. Time spent with his family and friends was among his greatest joys.
Family will receive friends in Aaron’s memory on Sunday, October 12, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Marion Town Park, 4072 Park Avenue, Marion, NY 14505. Aaron’s life was a gift to all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and community.
