Aaron David Cline, age 26, of Collinsville, Illinois, passed away on October 26, 2025. Born on March 10, 1999, Aaron lived with a spirit of adventure and a heart full of loyalty. He was known for his love of spending time with friends and his unique ability to find beauty and purpose in the overlooked-often repurposing forgotten items with creativity and care.
Aaron's life was marked by authenticity, humor, and a deep connection to those he loved. He had a gift for turning ordinary days into memorable ones, and his presence brought comfort and laughter to many.
He is survived by:
• His mother, Carrie McDowell of Collinsville
• His father, John Cline of Granite City
• His beloved daughter, McKenna Cline of Collinsville
• His sister, Madison Carrino of Collinsville
• His younger brother, Jackson Knutt of Collinsville
• His uncles, Adam Cline of Troy and Joseph McDowell II of Oregon
• A niece, a nephew, and many cousins-too many to name, but each held a special place in his heart
Aaron was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Linda and Joseph McDowell, and his paternal grandparents, John and Cindy Cline.
A GoFundMe page has been created to help cover funeral expenses, which are deeply needed at this time. Contributions of any kind-food, support, or donations-are gratefully accepted at Carrie's home in Collinsville.
Aaron's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, loved him, and were changed by his presence. His legacy is one of resilience, love, and the kind of laughter that lingers long after the moment has passed.
Visitation will be held 3:00pm to 5:00pm, Monday, November 3, 2025 at Herr Funeral Home.
